General Discussion / B.C. Saw Filer’s Association 2015 CONFERENCE
« on: December 14, 2014, 08:49:00 PM »
Just in case you missed it on the news page or the home mail-out

B.C. Saw Filer’s Association         2015 CONFERENCE

On behalf of The BC Saw Filer’s association executive I am pleased to invite you to our upcoming conference in Kamloops, BC April 24-25, 2015 at the Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Center. The trade show portion of the event begins at 12:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm, Friday the 24th and is open to all Filers, Mill Managers and Maintenance Supervisors. Last year we had forty (40) exhibitors offering a look at the latest in technology, products and services. This year promises to be the same.
In the theatre room after the trade show we are planning a full buffet dinner followed by entertainment featuring Comedian Clinton Gray. Tickets are $25.00, a good value for an excellent meal and a few laughs.
Saturday the 25th we will hold the associations Annual General Meeting. Membership dues for Filers and Associates will again be $20.00 this year. Registration is available on site Friday and Saturday, however, we are planning a early registration option where dinner tickets may also be purchased. If you are unable to attend but would still like to register, please forward all your information and a check payable to myself at 2352 Tallus Ridge Dr., West Kelowna, BC V4T 3B6. More information regarding the agenda for the AGM and how to register early will be made available in the coming months. We have hotel rooms blocked off at the Coast Kamloops. Reservations can he made by calling 1-800-663-1144 using group code CKH-GFC 2585 or reference B.C Saw Filers. Cut off is March 23, 2015.
On behalf of the executive I would like to thank everyone in advance for your continued support. We along with the industry have seen some success in the past few years. The importance of a conference such as ours is not only that it allows us to renew old acquaintances and make new ones, but it also brings together new technology and ideas for us to learn by and remain competitive in the future. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Kamloops.

Sincerely,

Bryan Glaister

I was really hoping more of you would register on the BCSFA forums and access the job market that way but for those of you who are BCSFA members that would  prefer not to do that, email me at trevor.shpeley@gmail.com and I will send you log on info.

This will allow you to view the board but will not allow you to post your own topics or replies.

For those that wish to post a job but do not want to register, send the information to me and I will post it for you.

One last request from me to please register on the forums and participate. The BCSFA is a community and as such, needs communication. Please sign up if you wish and I won't be mentioning it again.

Thank you very much
Trevor Shpeley

PS - if you don't email me after you sign up so I know to switch your member group to one that can see the job market not to worry, I will see that you are awaiting validation eventually but it will be much faster if you just shoot me an email, thanks. For some reason the auto notification isn't working for me.
